Visit to the Royal Observatory Greenwich,

at 11am sharp outside the Main Gate of the Observatory at the top of Observatory Hill at the 24-hour clock (in the wall next to the gate).
How to get there
Public Transport: Rail: From Stratford, or Bank (on the Central or Circle Lines), take the DLR to Cutty Sark or
Greenwich Station. Follow the signs to the National Maritime Museum, then
walk up Observatory Hill (15 min).
River: Take the MBNA Thames Clippers (every 20 min) from most central London piers on
the Thames to Greenwich Pier.
Bus: Routes 53,54,129,177,180,188,199, 202,286,380,386 and N1
We suggest that most folk will be interested in the Museum of Time, including the determination of Longitude and the fabulous Harrison clocks. Admission to the Royal Observatory is £15 for adults (£13.50 on line).
There is the option of several shows at the new digital Planetarium (eg The Sky Tonight, presented by an astronomer at 2 and 4.15 pm, admission £5.35 for concessions . After lunch ( in the ROG cafes or bring sandwiches), we will be free to spend more time in the areas that most appeal, including the hands-on section in the South gallery.
