From the N and W: A14, leaving at Bury Central
Exit from A14 on to the roundabout and take the exit to the town centre (first exit if you are coming from the east; third proper exit if you are coming from the west). Follow the road for about 1/4 mile (it curves round to the right a bit) to the next roundabout. First exit on Northgate Street and continue for a bit less than half a mile to the end of Northgate Street (traffic lights). Turn right at the lights on to Mustow Street and follow the street round to the left (it becomes Angel Hill), past the entrance to the Abbey Gardens, past the cathedral and to the Norman Tower (in total this is about 1/4 mile). Turn right on Churchgate Street and continue for about 200 yards. Turn left on Whiting Street and the United Reform Church car park is on your right after about 100 yards.
From the E: A14, leaving at Bury East
Exit from A14 on to the roundabout and take the exit to the town centre (first exit if you are coming from the east; third exit if you are coming from the west). Follow the road for about half a mile, to the second roundabout, at which turn right (third exit) on Southgate Street. Proceed down Southgate Street, turning slightly left on Maynewater Lane when forced to (it’s a one way system). Turn left into Westgate Street (it’s a T junction), get into the right lane and turn right into College Street just after the theatre. Proceed down College Street until you get to Churchgate Street (you now join the other route). Turn left on Churchgate Street and continue for about 200 yards. Turn left on Whiting Street and the United Reform Church car park is on your right after about 100 yards.
